New Graduate Speech Pathology Position

Are you a recent Speech Pathology graduate ready to start your clinical journey?

We have a team of allied health professionals who provide therapeutic supports in various disciplines, including speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and more. Our therapists specialize in the disability sector, working closely with customers, their families, and other health professionals.

Our supports enable you to develop your clinical skills, with formal regular clinical supervision, graduate coaching, and opportunities for professional development.


12-Week New Graduate Program

Our program prepares you to build your caseload and deliver therapy interventions. You will have access to:

* Multi-disciplinary training program, covering topics such as therapy interventions and communication strategies
* Opportunities to shadow experienced therapists, gaining hands-on experience and learning from experts
* New Graduate peer meetings, connecting with current and former new graduates and sharing experiences
* Weekly clinical supervision, tailored to your needs and learning goals
* Reduced billable hours, allowing you to build your caseload and develop your clinical skills

This program is designed to support your growth and success in your role as a speech pathologist.


About the Role

You will manage your caseload, providing timely and evidence-based intervention to people across the lifespan, from pre-schoolers to adults, with a range of conditions.

Interventions may be delivered in various locations, including clinics, schools/preschools, in-home, group homes, via telehealth, or at day programs, on an individual, group, or consultative basis.

You will also have opportunities to attend internal professional development and, following probation, access a generous external professional development budget relevant to your caseload and personal development goals.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

* Genuine interest and commitment to the human services industry
* Understanding of NDIS (desirable)
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to manage a caseload in an efficient and effective manner
* Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
* Registration with SPA
* Experience working with children, young people, and adults with disability
* Understanding of assessments and interventions within the scope of your practice
* Current driver's licence and willingness to drive within the region
* WWCC & NDIS worker check
* Current first aid and CPR certification
