**Job Description**
Sport and recreation play a vital role in supporting and encouraging participation and success in sport and active recreation. Our organization delivers grant funding for sport and active recreation organizations and clubs, infrastructure, and participation programs. We operate precincts and venues and engage with the active industry across Queensland.
We aim to improve the health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders by assisting them to be more active. To achieve this, we provide services to facilitate local and sector-wide participation opportunities, contributing to healthy and connected communities.
This includes focusing on low socio-economic locations, indigenous communities (rural and remote), and people who face barriers in accessing sport. We deliver informed and effective advice, high-quality engagement, and Sport and Recreation funding programs. We also provide information on local and sector-wide intelligence to support Departmental business.
