As a Dispensary Assistant/Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of pharmaceutical services for Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel.
Working Monday to Friday between **** and ****, you'll assist Pharmacists in the provision of safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical support within a Defence Health Centre environment.
You'll be responsible for assisting with dispensing duties, managing medical stock, and ensuring the effective coordination and control of medicines and medical stores.
Your work will contribute directly to the readiness and wellbeing of ADF members, helping maintain Defence's high standards of care and governance.
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to ADF personnel across Australia.
This includes delivering defence-ready clinical and support staff across more than 45 on-base locations, ensuring personnel have access to quality, on-site medical care.
Enoggera Health Centre, located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, serves as the primary base for this position and supports nearby facilities including Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks.
Established in ****, Gallipoli Barracks is the largest military base in South Queensland, home to approximately 8,000 members and the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters.
Services include primary medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.
It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with standard operating hours generally between **** and ****, Monday to Friday.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Certificate qualification as a non-pharmacist Dispensary Assistant/Technician (Dispensary Technicians Course Certificate or equivalent).
A minimum of 2 years' full-time experience as a Dispensary Assistant/Technician within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
Demonstrated experience assisting in the dispensing of medications, managing stock rotation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
