We are partnering with a reputable global organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation to appoint a General Manager Sales & Customer Experience. This newly created executive role is designed to unify Sales, Customer Experience and operational alignment to support an ambitious growth agenda.
About the Role
Reporting to the regional MD, this is a high‐impact leadership position overseeing a team of around 100 people across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. You will act as the connector between Sales, Customer Experience and Operations, ensuring that what is sold is delivered flawlessly throughout the customer lifecycle.
You will lead national sales performance, uplift customer experience capability, and drive alignment with fleet availability, logistics, billing and service delivery teams.
This role is suited to a leader who can operate in a multi‐site, asset‐heavy, rental‐oriented business and who excels at driving both commercial and cultural transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach and uplift end‐to‐end Sales and Customer Experience teams across AU/NZ/Fiji.
* Drive high‐performance sales culture and deliver growth aligned with ambitious year‐on‐year targets.
* Ensure seamless connection between Sales, Operations and Customer Experience teams to improve delivery accuracy, customer satisfaction, and lifecycle management.
* Develop sector‐based sales strategies that reflect market dynamics and industry trends.
* Establish a consistent, customer‐first mindset at every touchpoint from quotation to billing.
* Partner closely with operations to ensure alignment on fleet, logistics, fuel management, scheduling and delivery commitments.
* Support transformation initiatives, capability uplift and cultural alignment.
* Build strong relationships with customers across mining, industrial services, construction, utilities, manufacturing and government.
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a leader who brings:
* Experience from rental, hire, industrial services, logistics, fleet or asset‐heavy environments.
* Strength in connecting Sales, CX and Operations to create a seamless customer experience.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver revenue and EBITDA growth.
* Experience managing customer journeys at scale, ideally with 50–100+ headcount.
* The capability to drive strategic transformation and build a high‐performing culture.
* Confidence engaging with major customers in mining, industrial, energy or infrastructure sectors.
