An award‐winning, globally recognised architecture and design studio is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to support the growth of a leading design‐led practice. This role will work closely with senior leadership to drive new business opportunities, coordinate submissions, and strengthen industry relationships.
The Role
You'll play a key role in supporting and delivering business development initiatives, from coordinating bids to managing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development & Marketing
o Coordinate and support the preparation of submissions, tenders, and proposals (often to tight deadlines)
o Assist in developing high‐quality marketing materials, presentations, and bid content
o Write and edit company profiles, project descriptions, and team bios
o Maintain and manage the CRM/database of clients, consultants, and industry contacts
o Research and identify new business opportunities, sectors, and target clients
o Track and manage potential project opportunities and pipelines
o Collaborate with internal teams (including graphics and PR) to produce compelling collateral
o Support the planning and coordination of events, networking opportunities, and client engagement initiatives
o Attend industry events and represent the business where required
o Proactively contribute ideas to improve engagement and business growth
* Quality & Systems Management
o Support quality assurance processes in line with ISO standards and internal systems
o Coordinate and attend QA and management review meetings
o Assist in internal and external audits to maintain compliance and accreditation
o Ensure project reviews and key meetings are documented appropriately
About You
* 2–5 years' experience in a business development, marketing, or similar role (ideally within architecture, design, or professional services)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Proactive, self‐motivated, and solutions‐focused
* A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Willingness to travel interstate when required
