The Role Working from offices on Sydney's Northern Beaches, and reporting to the General Manager, the Supply Chain Manager is an integral part of the management team. With demonstrated experience in planning, sourcing, purchasing and supply chain management, you will be required to implement processes to support the business site to achieve customer OTD, optimise inventory, improve working capital, reduce cost and drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring the continued success of the business, and you will have the unique opportunity to work locally, while establishing your career with a global market leader. Duties Evaluate supplier core competencies and identify strategic suppliers for long term partnerships. Develop and implement material cost reduction programs to support the financial objectives of the business. Manage all buying activities for bought in products, this will require hands on procurement for strategic suppliers and categories. In conjunction with the operations team, develop and implement standardised buying process for all purchased goods and services. Lead negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers. Manage buyers' responsibilities including request for quotations, inventory levels, on-time deliveries, cost reduction projects, expediting, supplier relationship management and MRP system maintenance. Develop and implement a consistent approach, tools, and process for cross functional supply chain analysis, driving alignment and consistency. Establish and implement appropriate metrics to measure departmental and supplier performance. Execute annual goals and objectives, in coordination with business objectives. Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Purchasing, or APICS, or related experience in planning, sourcing, purchasing and supply chain, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience and expertise with negotiating terms and conditions (T&Cs), long term agreements (LTA) and pricing. Continuous improvement mindset - willingness to challenge the status quo while meeting the organization's goals and objectives. Demonstrated success translating data into actionable insights and improvement initiatives. Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines. Strong administrative and data management expertise, including advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, hands-on and results driven. Adept at forging relationships and aligning team members and resources to achieve department initiatives. Interfaces with wide array of individuals, balances multiple tasks and maintains positive attitude and energy. Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to winning the right way.
