The Neuropsychology Graduate position is embedded within the Psychology Services team at the Royal Hobart Hospital, part of the Department of Health Tasmania.
This team includes clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, and health psychologists who work collaboratively across inpatient and outpatient settings.
The team is committed to evidence-based, client-centred care and fosters a strong culture of professional development through supervision, mentoring, and peer review.

The Role
In accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct of the Psychology Board of Australia, the Neuropsychology Graduate/Registrar provides psychological services including evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions to patients of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), including inpatient and outpatient services.
You will need to:
Provide an evidence-based, best practice neuropsychological service to paediatric and/or adult patients attending the RHH, including neuropsychological assessment and interventions for patients with brain injuries, cognitive impairment, behavioural or developmental concerns.
Prepare clinical documentation and neuropsychological reports as appropriate.
Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical care to patients, including active engagement with relevant stakeholders and multi-disciplinary team case discussions and family meetings to assist in the management of neuropsychological conditions.

Details of appointment
permanent part-time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
One fixed term part-time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June ****.
Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
For a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$73,834 to $111,364 per annum (pro rata).
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary Packaging
You'll have access to a salary package that includes living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Essential criteria
Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Current Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP).
Registration/licences must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
Desirable criteria
Completed a postgraduate qualification accredited as fifth and sixth year of study in the approved area of practice of Clinical Neuropsychology, with Board-approved supervised practice in the registrar program, as outlined within the 'Guideline on area of practice endorsements' of the Psychology Board of Australia or eligibility for the same.
