The role of the **Health, Safety and Compliance Manager** is to proactively lead the strategic delivery of health, safety, risk compliance, training and general injury management duties and to deliver a reduction in injuries, reportable incidents and drive sustainable change. The role of the HSC Manager is vital in driving, managing and mentoring stakeholders in delivering safety and compliance across the organisation.
Reporting to the National Manager of Safety Operations, you will be responsible for fostering an inclusive and safe work culture across the business.
**Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to**:
- Conduct regular Safety Observations and reports
- Lead and coach employees to deliver health and safety across their sites
- Support the rehabilitation and return to work process as required.
- Deliver effective training and assessments in line with the OHS plan and any strategic OHS program.
- Lead and manage WHS meetings, prepare relevant reports, review incidents and manage actions.
- Drive the implementation of national HSC strategies and national initiatives.
- Pro-actively contribute to the HSMS function, including the development and communication of new procedures and practices to all team members.
- Provide leadership to the national safety team, state general manager, site operational teams, drivers, subordinates and other internal and external stakeholders, including all regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the National Manager - Injury Management and Wellbeing in the co-ordination of all activities associated with the preventative safety function of the Self Insurance Licence.
**Do you have?**
- Diploma of WHS/OHS from an accredited Australian tertiary institution.
- Incident investigation training (either internal or external).
- ICAM incident investigation methodology.
- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Senior tertiary qualifications in safety management
- Prior and effective experience in a transport or logistics environment.
- Well-developed mentoring and coaching abilities.
