**About the business and the role**
MIRRA - Private Dining and Event space located in Fortitude Valley
The venue is intimate enough to cater to small lunches or high teas, but also boasts space to satisfy larger functions including weddings, wedding receptions, christenings, and birthday parties.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Food and beverage waiter
- skill set of 3 service plates.
- Able to setup for events, functions and bookings at the venue.
- Great Customer service skills and communication skills with fellow staff and team mates
- Training and developing staff skill sets.
- Working with the operations manager to ensure best outcome for the business and client demand.
- Reliable and Dedicated
- must be flexible working hours
- Up selling the venue during events
- Required to be available for organised events and functions during weekdays and weekends, day and/or night.
**Skills and experience**
**Qualifications**
Hold current Responsible Service of Alcohol in Queensland. ( **mandatory** )
Understanding of workplace health & safety requirements in the workplace. ( **desirable** )
Food Safety Certificate or equivalent CCP food safety accreditation. ( **desirable** )
**Experience**
1-years' experience in hospitality or service related industry. (**minimum)**
Experience working at events / functions. (**desirable**)
**Skills & Requirements**
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Knowledge of OH&S; guidelines, food safety standards, duty of care and responsible service of alcohol.
Ability to take direction without issue, while being able to work autonomously and can self-motivate to achieve role milestones.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills when addressing customers, suppliers and colleagues.
