About the Role
The Education Officers deliver programs that support engagement with the Gallery and exhibition program through in-gallery tours and learning experiences as well as art-based workshops and practical activities. Other duties include:
* In consultation with the Audience Development and Education Officer, develop and deliver public programs that complement Shoalhaven Regional Gallery (SRG) exhibition program and are delivered as part of SRG's outreach program.
* In consultation with the Audience Development and Education Officer, develop and deliver education programs to Early Childhood, Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary students. Program delivery will be at either Shoalhaven Regional Gallery or incursions to Schools. Maintain required administrative records of all public and educational programs.
* Maintain the Art Studio in accordance with program delivery requirements.
* Provide a child safe environment

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
* Degree or equivalent experience in visual arts and design with experience in facilitating or teaching public programs in a gallery, museum or community context.
* Working knowledge, understanding or experience of the formal educational sector, including Early Years to Stage 6 curriculum requirements.
* Experience/expertise working with diverse communities inclusive of age, race, sexuality, ability, and class.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* High level computer skills including competency in Microsoft 365 applications.
* Excellent written and verbal inter-personal communication skills.
* Ability to work evenings and weekends.
* Current NSW driver's license
* Current NSW Working with Children Check
* Proof of right to work in Australia
