These are full-time positions in the Federal NSW 2480 area, working for Future Forests'. As a Bush regenerator and supervisor, you will play a vital role in the conservation and restoration of natural environments within the Conservation & Wildlife industry.
What you'll be doing
* Supervisor will coordinate a team of bush regenerators to carry out ecological restoration work across a variety of sites
* Develop and implement site-specific bush regeneration plans
* Identify and prioritise areas requiring restoration through site assessments
* Safely operate and maintain a range of hand tools and machinery required for bush regeneration
* Monitor and report on the progress and success of restoration projects
* Liaise with landowners, community groups and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
* Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to the bush regeneration crew
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
* Several years of experience in a similar bush regeneration or ecological restoration role
* Strong practical skills in the identification and removal of weeds and the planting of native species
* Proficient in the use of a range of hand tools and small machinery for bush regeneration work
* Ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Relevant qualifications in conservation, horticulture or a related field
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites
* Commitment to the principles of sustainable environmental management
