We have recently moved into our new purpose-built facility in Forrestfield to improve our manufacturing and engineering capability.

We are looking for a Storeperson/Project Inventory Controller to join our team. The main job tasks include:
- Pick parts from stores, re-order as required in conjunction with stores management.
- Pack parts accordingly into job packs and top-level assembly drawings.
- Purchase various components from various suppliers as required.
- Travel between Austex main workshop and Austex stores on a regular basis (vehicle supplied).
- Co-ordinate painted parts to be packed with purchased parts as per top level assembly drawings.
- Systematically store complete job assembly packs at stores until required.
- Liaise with project management and project procurement officer for timeline requirements.
- Control workshop stores as required per job.
- Regular collections of parts from various suppliers as required.
- Liaise with delivery driver for collections with correct information available for the delivery driver.
- Document all data of parts locations as required in drawing transmittal's.
- Notify relevant management / supervisors as job packs are complete, signing over responsibility.
Other duties include:
- Assist purchasing officer with daily purchasing for workshop.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels of PPE.
- Assist purchasing officer maintain stock levels of bolt, and hydraulic fittings racks.
The skills required for this role include:
- Microsoft products including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- MYOB or similar.
- Forklift ticket (desirable but not necessary).
Standard hours expected are 7am - 4pm with plenty of overtime available. Saturday work will include morning tea provided by the company. This is a full time position with overtime penalty rates and quarterly profit share.
