About the role
-APPRENTICE-
As a an Apprentice Carpenter with SS Building Group PTY LTD, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop essential carpentry and construction skills while working on a variety of custom home residential and semi commercial projects. This full-time role is based mostly around western and northern suburbs of Melbourne as well as the macedon ranges and surrounding areas and will provide you with hands-on experience and training to kickstart your career in the carpentry and industry.
This role can be suited to both someone who is looking to start out in the industry as well as for a person who has started an apprenticeship elsewhere, and is looking for a fresh start and being part of a structure that encourages growth.
What you'll be doing
* Assist experienced carpenters with there tasks while learning all aspects of carpentry
* Develop proficiency in the use of hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade
* Develop a strong work efficiency that will benefit you in all aspects of life
What we're looking for
* A keen interest and passion for a career in carpentry and construction
* A long term apprentice who is willing to grow in our business and with the right people around them grow in to a long term role in our company once apprenticeship is completed
* Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
* Good physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the role
* Enthusiasm for learning new skills and a willingness to take direction from experienced tradespeople
* Commitment to working safely and following all relevant regulations and procedures
* Able to work in a fast paced environment
