Adecco is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join a leading food manufacturing operation in Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimising plant and equipment to ensure the continual operation of production. You will work both independently and as part of a team, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing breakdowns, and supporting engineering projects. Previous experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including fitting and turning, metal arc welding, and gas metal arc welding.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults promptly to minimise production downtime.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues.
Assist the Engineering Manager in ordering materials and spare parts as required.
Complete maintenance checklists and reports accurately and on time.
Comply with GMP, HACCP, and WHS requirements in all factory areas.
Support engineering projects and learn additional mechanical duties as required.
Recommend line stops for maintenance when necessary.
Your Profile
Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) or 2+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Fitter.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of WHS obligations, GMP, and HACCP principles.
Flexible, proactive, and able to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
Experience in FMCG is an advantage but not mandatory.
LF, EWP, and confined space experience is desirable.
Hours & Remuneration: Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 per year plus 15% shift loading, with overtime payable on top of the salary. Occasional weekend work may be required.
