About the role

Government Technology Platforms (GTP) is seeking an experienced Database Support Analyst to join our Technical Support team.

In this role, you will provide high-quality database and application support for a range of government systems and digital products, ensuring they operate reliably and meet business and service delivery objectives. You will work collaboratively with development, testing and operational teams in a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable professional who enjoys problem-solving, working with modern platforms, and contributing to services that support the people of NSW.

Your role will involve
Provide day-to-day functional and technical application support for government applications and digital products.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve database application incidents, problems and service requests within agreed service levels.
Maintain accurate incident action logs and documentation, including issues, root causes and workarounds.
Support development and testing teams with batch data load processes and release activities.
Participate in after-hours and weekend support, as required, for production support and deployment activities.
To be successful, you will have:
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T‑SQL, SSIS and SSRS.
Experience in database and SQL performance tuning and optimisation.
Experience with SQL Agent job scheduling and monitoring.
Experience with cloud technologies and ETL integration (highly regarded).
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting (desirable).
Experience working in CRM environments, such as Siebel or Salesforce (advantageous).
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Flexibility and willingness to work after hours and on weekends when required.
