Downer NGT are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our team based in Canberra.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
- Assemble and dismantle electronic devices
- Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots faulty devices and repairs by replacement of faulty components
- Configure and bench test electronic devices
- Maintaining and repairing multi-function printed circuitry
- Prepare basic reports on specific tasks or assignments as directed
- Provide accurate documentation of works carried out
- Provides technical guidance within the level of work as described in this definition
- Assists with Goods In and Goods Out duties
- Working under mínimal supervision and technical guidance
- Maintain a clean workspace and assist with end of shift tidy up
- Complies with relevant work health and safety requirements
- Deliver outstanding quality and performance to our clients
**ABOUT YOU**
- At least 2 to 3 years of on-the-job experience in electronic systems
- Qualified as an Electronic Technician or related appropriate vocational course (AQF certificate level 2).
- Good computer, tablet and smartphone literacy
- Current C class driver's licence
- White Card
- Basic soldering ability
- Basic hand tools use skills
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Hold Australian work rights
