This is an outstanding opportunity for an academic with a developing or established track record in biostatistics to advance their career within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, renowned for high-quality research. The successful candidate will develop or support a program of methodological, applied, and collaborative research, assisting clinical researchers and HDR students with research design and analysis.Your key responsibilities will include:Develop, coordinate, and deliver introductory and advanced biostatistics workshops/training for HDRs and researchers across the faculty, using face-to-face and online methods.Assist with experimental design and data analysis, focusing on clinical and HDR research.Contribute to research that enhances the faculty's profile, including publishing in high-impact journals, securing research grants, and disseminating findings through appropriate channels. Foster productive relationships within the university and with external partners, including local health networks.To be successful, you will need:A PhD or equivalent research higher degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related discipline.Evidence of research ability with a record of high-quality research achievements relative to opportunity.Effective teaching skills in statistics or biostatistics, in both face-to-face and online formats, promoting student engagement.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with students, staff, and across disciplines in health and medical sciences.The ability to work effectively as part of a team and carry out administrative duties as directed by the Deputy Dean Research.The path to Adelaide UniversityWe are on an exciting journey to Adelaide University, opening in January 2026.
