Job Overview
We are currently recruiting a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities
* detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines in heavy plant and vehicles
* dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components
* repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
* perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
* reassemble engines and parts after being repaired
* test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
* Over 1 year's experience as a Diesel Mechanic
* Experience servicing, diagnosing faults, and repairing diesel engines and commercial vehicles
Additional Details
* Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
