We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful senior iOS developer to join their development
team in Port Melbourne and take part in a set of technology programs that deliver smart security solutions
around IoT devices, computer vision, cloud services, analytics and apps to millions of users around the world.
Candidates must have any valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
What you'll do:
* Design, specification, implementation and testing in an Agile environment.
* Contribute to technical documentation
* Diagnosis of problems and performance analysis
* Maintaining a high level of quality both in the look and functionality
* At least 4 years of experience in iOS development
* Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
* Use Swift and SwiftUI to design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform.
* In-app purchase / Auto-renewable subscriptions
* Communicate with Bluetooth low energy devices.
* Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
* Experience working with 3rd party libraries, including open source libraries.
* Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON
* Experience with localisation/internationalisation
* Source control – GIT.
* Good sense of UI design and a user-oriented focus
* Knack for benchmarking and optimisation
* Familiarity with continuous integration
Highly regarded:
* Knowledge of multi-media streaming and relevant protocols: RTSP, HLS
* Knowledge of network communication protocols such as TCP, UDP, Network Sockets
* Core audio.
* FFmpeg.
* UX concepts, design, prototyping and wireframes.
* Some Android experience.
* Consumer Electronics products that incorporate cloud, devices, and mobile apps
* Amazon Web Services and AWS IoT
* Atlassian JIRA, Confluence
You must be passionate about software development with the ability to pick up processes and new tools quickly.
Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to assess, estimate, plan and self- manage project work.
