About the Role
As an AOD Prevention Officer, you’ll work alongside local communities, government agencies, and service providers to create safer, healthier futures.
You’ll help design, deliver, and evaluate AOD prevention initiatives, lead community education campaigns, and strengthen local partnerships that drive real, lasting change.
Your work will include:
* Leading the development and implementation of AOD and Volatile Substance Use Management Plans.
* Coordinating prevention programs and campaigns in collaboration with the Mental Health Commission.
* Building strong partnerships with local stakeholders to identify community needs and priorities.
* Representing HOPE and Other Drug Services at regional forums and meetings.
* Promoting a supportive, inclusive, and culturally secure approach in all community engagement activities.

* $88,090.08 per annum + super + $2000.00 per annum regional allowance

You’ll Need
* Experience in community development, health promotion, or AOD prevention programs
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Knowledge of AOD-related issues and their impacts on individuals, families, and communities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team
* Commitment to culturally secure practice and working respectfully with Aboriginal communities
* Current Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, and National Police Clearance
