About the Role
I am seeking an experienced and hands‐on Logistics Manager to join a fast‐growing multi‐brand distribution business based in Sydney.
This role will take ownership of inbound logistics, outbound deliveries, inventory control, and logistics performance across retail and e‐commerce channels. The position requires strong operational capability, sound systems knowledge, and the ability to manage stock accuracy, delivery performance, cost control, and logistics partner relationships.
You will work closely with internal teams across Sales, Product Management, Finance and warehouse operations, as well as external suppliers, freight forwarders, couriers and 3PL partners.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
* Manage inbound shipments from overseas suppliers and local vendors, including coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers and suppliers
* Oversee outbound deliveries to retailers, distributors and e‐commerce customers, ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time
* Track shipment ETAs, clearance status, delays and delivery exceptions
* Resolve freight, delivery, damage and service‐related issues with logistics partners
Inventory & Stock Control
* Own daily stock monitoring, reconciliation and inventory accuracy across ERP / WMS systems
* Manage stock movements, ageing stock, slow‐moving stock, dead stock, DOA, RMA and refurbishment flows
* Coordinate cycle counts, stock takes and inventory investigations
Planning, Systems & Process Improvement
* Support demand forecasting, replenishment planning and safety stock management in partnership with Sales and Product Management
* Identify supply risks, stock constraints and operational bottlenecks
* Improve logistics SOPs, workflows and system processes across ERP, WMS and courier platforms
* Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and retail delivery standards
Cost, Performance & Partner Management
* Monitor freight, warehousing and logistics costs, and report on key logistics KPIs
* Support Finance with freight accruals, stock reporting and stock valuation
* Manage 3PLs, couriers, warehouse partners and internal warehouse staff where applicable
* Drive SLA performance, supplier reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience Approximately
* 5+ years' experience in logistics, warehouse, supply chain or distribution management
* Strong experience across inbound logistics, outbound logistics and inventory control
* Experience using ERP / WMS systems, with Cin7 experience highly regarded
* Strong understanding of freight, customs, incoterms and 3PL operations
* Experience managing stock accuracy, cycle counts and warehouse processes
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and reporting skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐moving environment
* Strong attention to detail and a hands‐on approach to operational management
* Experience within retail, consumer electronics, FMCG or a distribution environment will be highly regarded
* Mandarin speaking skills will be considered an advantage
