The Service Delivery & Performance Team within the Service and Infrastructure program (SIM) is responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of the IT Service Management system (currently Cherwell) and for maturing ITIL-based processes that support Enterprise Service Management across the Bureau.Base pay and locationBase pay range: A$135,402.00/yr - A$152,073.00/yrThe role is ongoing and located in all capital cities.

For details on eligibility, selection criteria, and how to apply, visit the Bureau of Meteorology Careers page.Job reference number: 60018870Role responsibilitiesSuccessfully manage the transition of the Bureau's ITSM platform from Cherwell to Neurons, ensuring minimal disruption and full operational continuity.Govern and mature the Service Management capability.Deliver and enhance service performance reporting.Manage the daily support and operation of the Bureau's IT Service Management system.Manage the development of the IT Service Management system, in consultation with ITSM process uplifts and support teams.Manage ongoing contractual support arrangements to provide technical services for the ITSM system.Oversee procurement activities required for the development and support of the ITSM system.Lead a small in-house support and development team.Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the Bureau.Coordinate and provide basic training and knowledge on the use of the ITSM system using methods such as small group sessions, FAQs and QRGs.Comply with Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures.Mandatory qualificationsA degree or diploma from an Australian educational institution (or comparable overseas qualification) appropriate to the duties, or other comparable qualifications or experience.ITIL v3 certification or relevant experience in ITIL processes and ITSM systemsITIL 4 Certification and relevant experience managing service management practicesMerit poolThe selection process will establish a merit pool that may be used to fill similar positions within 18 months.How to applyApplications can be lodged through the Bureau of Meteorology Careers site.
