An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused General Maintenance All‐Rounder to join our team at Koorootang Court Village.
Koorootang Court Village is set besides a charming beachside, surrounded by spacious parks and gardens in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula.
In this General Maintenance All‐Rounder role, you'll support the day‐to‐day upkeep of our properties while providing a positive experience for our residents. Success in this role comes from being organized, communicative, and comfortable using computers, with a natural ability to troubleshoot and get things done. No trade qualification is required–we value transferable skills, a can‐do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
You will support our close‐knit team on a Full‐Time basis. No weekend work!
Reporting the Village Manager, your duties will include:
* Coordinating and carrying out a variety of routine maintenance checks and general upkeep tasks across residential properties
* Assisting with day‐to‐day handyperson duties, such as minor fixes, adjustments, and basic installations
* Following safety and environmental guidelines to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and contractors
* Responding to resident maintenance requests in a friendly, helpful, and timely manner
* Working with external contractors and supporting them as needed to ensure jobs are completed smoothly
* Keeping simple and accurate records of maintenance activities using our systems
* Helping out with occasional ad‐hoc tasks as required, under the guidance of the Village Manager
* Occasionally driving the village bus to transport residents locally, always prioritising safety and courtesy
About You
* Be organized and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
* Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
* Currently hold an Australian MR Drivers Licence (or be willing to obtain one)
* Computer literate e.g. basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps
* A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
* The ability to take initiative and be pro‐active
* The ability to work individually and in a team
Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on‐site.
Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of May‐November, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre‐employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
