Forensic Engineering Specialist
We are seeking a Forensic Engineer to provide expert advice on forensic engineering matters. The ideal candidate will have sound technical experience in forensic engineering, excellent technical report writing skills, and strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspecting and reporting on building-related matters, preparing causation reports on defects and damages to buildings and associated structures.
* Providing technical advice and detailed scope of works and cost estimates in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
* Interacting with various stakeholders, including insureds, general public, builders, and insurers.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably structural engineering).
* Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or National Engineering Register (NER) qualified.
* At least 3 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer.
* A thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the insurance industry.
* Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to domestic, commercial, and industrial properties.
* Ability to support conclusions by appropriate expert testimony in legal proceedings.
