Your New Role
This role supports Catholic schools in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW), working with school communities to create welcoming and safe spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children.
Given the schools' location in Wiradjuri country and respecting tradition, the term "Aboriginal" will refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents, and carers.
Aboriginal School and Community Workers will engage in activities that support the learning, pastoral care, and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students, their families, and communities. Effective communication and partnership-building with families, school staff, local Aboriginal organisations, and Elders are essential.
Positions include:
* Marian Catholic College Griffith - 21 hours
* St Mary's Primary Yoogali - 7 hours
* St Patrick's Primary Griffith - 14 hours

Qualifications and qualities required:
* Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, with ability to engage with Elders and community organisations
* Supportive of Catholic Education’s purpose, vision, and values
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Effective communication skills
* Current NSW Driver’s Licence
* NSW Working with Children Check
* Successful candidates will undertake a National Criminal History Check
