About the Role:

We are seeking expressions of interest for a casual vocal and choral specialist, who is passionate about supporting and engaging with students to reach their highest potential in studio music lessons and in our secondary choral program.

In this role, you would be responsible for delivering quality studio music lessons and innovative education as a specialist in an area of the Co-Curricular Music Department.

What You'll Do:

* Teach voice lessons to either individual or small groups from Years 4-12.
* Create an environment of active and genuine learning by employing a range of vocal pedagogy strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
* Monitor each student's progress, keeping students and parents informed of progress.
* Keep accurate records of achievement and attendance in order to provide meaningful formative and summative reports.
* Prepare vocal students either as soloists or ensemble members for the various performances that occur throughout the year in the College calendar are as part of a goal or milestone process.
* Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, report progress and difficulties and encouraging open communication with parents to address any concerns.
* Direct Secondary choral and specialist vocal ensembles for students in Years 7 – 12 that considers repertoire that is relevant, engaging, challenging, and inclusive.

What we're looking for:

* Experience: Proven experience in Instrumental Music or Vocal tutoring to students of all ages.
* Engaged: Commitment to actively participating in co-curricular life
* Ethical: Strong sense of integrity and ethical conduct.
* Collaborative: Ability to work well with staff, students, parents, and regulatory bodies.
* Possess: A current First Aid & CPR Certificate a current, valid Blue Card as required under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000

This role requires a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time.
