Your Role as a Youth Worker with LYFS (Overnight Shifts)
As our overnight Youth Worker, you'll deliver person‐centred services and meaningfully impact the lives of the young people we work with. You'll empower individuals to live more independently, safely, and meaningfully by:
Provide administrative support to the team as required, including reporting on shift activities and responses provided after hours.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the program including assistance with activities and events, related administration and other related tasks as required.
Provide person‐centred and practical support to young people in coordination with other team members.
Develop and facilitate structured and unstructured activities that meet the needs of our clients.
Engage with the young people accessing the program creating meaningful and professional relationships.
This is a 30 hour per week part‐time position consisting of overnight awake shifts.

What We're Looking For
A qualification in the Community Services or related field with experience working in a similar environment.
Effective written and high‐level oral communication skills with empathy, tact and discretion and ability to build rapport quickly and develop relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
Be able to positively work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
Ability to acquire knowledge of and work within an Advantage Thinking framework.
Experience in program service delivery to young people.
Proof of COVID‐19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy).
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work.
