We provide services such as concrete repair, waterproofing, protective coatings, remedial repairs, structural steel coating applications, precision grouting, high pressure spray on applications, expansion joints, corrosion protection, abrasive blasting, epoxy coatings and ceramic coatings. We are seeking a full-time bricklayer on Lindeman Island, QLD.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to build walls, foundations, and other structures.
2. Measure, cut, and shape bricks or other materials to fit specified designs and plans.
3. Construct and install brickwork for homes, commercial buildings, and other types of construction.
4. Mix mortar and apply it to brick surfaces for adhesion and durability.
5. Ensure accuracy in measurements and alignment using tools like levels, plumb lines, and hammers.
6. Repair and maintain existing brickwork, ensuring long-term structural integrity.
7. Work with a team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
8. Follow safety protocols on-site and ensure the safety of others.
Preferred Skills and Experience
1. White Card (Construction Induction Card)
2. Relevant qualification in Bricklaying or Masonry
3. At least 2 years' relevant work experience as a Bricklayer
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Physically fit and able to handle the demands of manual labor

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
1. 8-hour shift
2. Monday to Friday
3. Weekend availability (if required)
Experience:
1. Bricklaying: 2 years (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:
1. White Card (Preferred)
2. Driver's Licence (Preferred)
