The role
Overview
ADF Health Services, under contract with Serco and Bupa, provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force personnel across Australia. The role involves delivering comprehensive dental services at the Stirling Health Centre located on HMAS Stirling. Responsibilities
Deliver dental treatments including emergency care, general examinations, preventive care, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x‑rays, extractions, root canal treatments, and prosthodontics design and management. Liaise with senior dental officers, medical officers, nursing officers and specialist dental providers to ensure comprehensive care. Promote and maintain good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence policies, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment. Qualifications
Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Minimum 2 years full‑time post‑graduate clinical chair‑side experience within the last 5 years (or part‑time equivalent). Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA. Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification. Stirling Health Centre on HMAS Stirling, Garden Island, approximately 45km south of Perth. Standard hours of operation are 07:30‑16:00, Monday‑Friday.
