Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre– Oncology / Clinical Trials Salary $88,255 - $108,809 p.a. (Pro Rata) MES2 | Full Time Contract, 12 months Drive Medical Breakthroughs: Medical Oncology Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator As a Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator at SA Health, you'll play a significant role in driving groundbreaking medical research and advancing patient care. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination of clinical trials, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and ethical standards. With your leadership, our organisation will continue to push the boundaries of medical innovation, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes for the community. About the role: Reporting to the Oncology Research Manager, (ORM), this role is required to provide professional expertise, competence and experience to implement Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) & Research Governance Office (RGO) activities and allocated complex research studies to ensure timely quality research outputs and healthcare services to client groups in compliance with hospital, sponsoring body and international policies and procedures. Duties for the role will include: Preparation of Human Research Ethics Applications and Site-Specific Assessments for the new trials. Address regulatory bodies and internal/external stakeholders' queries in a timely manner, Assist the Trials Manager in monitoring and maintaining budget and accounts, Coordinate allocated research studies from activation to close-out stages including research management and administrative tasks under minimum guidance of ORM and Senior Study coordinator, Participate in feasibility assessments of potential research projects as required by ORM, Coordinate study close-out visits, timely query resolution, reporting to Ethics / RGO and archival of the trial files as per local regulatory requirements, Support with preparation and payment of invoices and trial-related payments between the department, Health Support Services (HSS) and clinical trial sponsors About you: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical / Laboratory / Science) or equivalent, A demonstrated capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team, Organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise workload and competing demands and conflicting priorities with limited resources, Minimum 2-year practical experience in: Implementation of Phase I – III Oncology clinical studies in a hospital setting, The use of a range of information technology, particularly Microsoft Office, electronic Data Capture and Interactive Web Response Systems, Laboratory and Safety platforms, The use of Electronic Medical Records (EPAS / SUNRISE), particularly tracking and scheduling, Master’s or PhD degree in a relevant discipline, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training, International Air Transport Association (IATA) training, Only Experienced applicants need apply Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
