* 75 hours per fortnight, maximum-term position until 30 June 2029
About the role

The Homes First team works in close collaboration with all stakeholders across the Wimmera South West and Loddon regional catchments to support individual client transitions into social housing provided by Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) or Community Housing providers. The Homes First program model incorporates an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach with services tailored to individual client need.

The position is responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of the Homes First program. This includes oversight of caseloads, provision of staff supports and regular supervision, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support to clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

In addition, the Team Leader will actively promote the Homes First program within the local community and foster strong relationships with clients, staff, and external stakeholders, including through participation in relevant meetings, service networks and local forums.

The position is required to participate in the Homelessness and Housing Support portfolio On Call Roster as required.

Specifically, the position is responsible for:
* Managing client and staff matters in the program, including ongoing management of client risk, risk reporting and incident management, in collaboration with Manager/Senior Manager Homelessness and Housing Support.
* Contributing to the development of funding proposals and tenders, service models, research and innovation.
* Supervising and coaching direct reports to support them in the achievement of their goals, providing guidance when needed while respecting their professional autonomy.
* Contributing to the preparation and monitoring of program budgets.
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
* Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Community Development or similar related discipline
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of health, social or community services
* Demonstrated experience in providing professional supervision to client-facing staff in the delivery of homelessness programs
* Strong understanding of a variety of theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies
* Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
