The Role
Our Business Restructuring and Insolvency division seeks an enthusiastic and driven Supervisor or Manager - Insolvency Accountant to join their team.
You will assist a diverse client base and report directly to Partners, Managers, and Directors.
Responsibilities
* Identify engagement risks and develop strategies in collaboration with the partner or manager, considering the organization's nature.
* Plan assignments using control forms, checklists, and quality control procedures.
* Investigate insolvent entities' finances, including analyzing financial statements and records.
* Prepare reports for external stakeholders.
* Handle stakeholder inquiries via phone and written communication.
* Manage Virtual Assistants with managerial support.
* Meet budgets for various appointments.
Skills and Experience
* 4-6 years of relevant insolvency experience.
* Strong investigation skills, especially in recovering voidable transactions.
* Knowledge of Australian insolvency legislation.
* Understanding of the Corporations Act and relevant laws.
* CA or CPA qualification or part-qualified.
* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proactive, responsible, and positive attitude.
* Willingness to mentor junior staff.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and MYOB.
Preferred but Not Essential
* Experience with Australian personal insolvency legislation.
* Interest in pursuing further studies like ARITA qualifications.
