Join a Team That Makes a Difference – Support a Client with Complex Care Needs in Coffs Harbour About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care to a male client with complex health needs. The client presents with a spinal cord injury, type 1 diabetes, and requires management of a stoma and catheter. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a stable weekday role, supporting a respectful and mild-mannered individual in a family-oriented home environment. Location: Coffs Harbour, NSW Shifts: Monday to Friday Morning: 7:30am – 2:00pm Afternoon: 2:00pm – 9:00pm Key Responsibilities: Deliver personal care including stoma and catheter maintenance Monitor and support diabetes management Assist with mobility, transfers, and hygiene routines Provide emotional support and companionship Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in disability support or nursing (preferred) Confidence in managing complex care needs independently Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity Ability to work collaboratively within a family environment Commitment to maintaining client dignity and safety Compliance Requirements NDIS Workers Screening Check Working with Children Check First Aid and CPR certificate Certificate III or IV in individual support, disability or equivalent Australian driver's license and your own fully insured vehicle Pay Rates SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax): Base hourly rate: $35.15 Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67 Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37 Saturday: $49.21 Sunday: $63.27 Public holiday: $77.33 All employees will be required to comply with mandatory directives as mandated within the relevant state or territory where they work.
