Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role is crucial in attracting, recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who enhance the lives of our customers.As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will ensure that volunteers are effectively integrated into Juniper’s service delivery framework. Your work will support the meaningful engagement of volunteers, helping to create a positive impact across our organization.Key Responsibilities:Attract, recruit, and retain volunteers to meet Juniper’s organizational needs.Develop and implement strategies, including advertising, community outreach, and partnerships with volunteering organizations.Ensure compliance with all onboarding, screening, and training requirements.Coordinate volunteer placements, ensuring they align with Juniper’s operational requirements.Support and mentor volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.Manage and maintain volunteer databases, keeping accurate records of placements, compliance documents, and feedback.Develop and facilitate training programs to support volunteers in their roles.Organize recognition initiatives, including National Volunteers Week and International Volunteers Day.Key Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Community Services, or a related field, or relevant experience in volunteer or workforce coordination.Strong knowledge of volunteer management practices, recruitment, and retention strategies.Experience in coordinating volunteer programs within a medium-sized organisation.Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, staff, and external stakeholders.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing volunteer or HR databases.Understanding of aged care, community services, or the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) and a valid driver’s license.What’s on offer:Be part of a respected not-for-profit organisation that values volunteers.Supportive and collaborative team environment.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Salary Packaging up to $18,550 per annum tax freeApply Now!If you are passionate about volunteer engagement and making a difference in the community, we would love to hear from you!
