The Role—Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks & PDM).
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product feasibility and performance.
· Conduct engineering analysis and simulations to validate designs.
· Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
· Oversee prototype development and testing.
· Support manufacturing teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
· Continuously improve product design and production efficiency.

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong mechanical aptitude, leadership potential, and a proven track record in engineering design and manufacturing support. This role reports directly to the Head of the Engineering Department and requires someone who is a motivated learner, a proactive problem-solver, and a collaborative team player.
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who can adapt their approach to suit different situations and help drive the best outcomes for our team and our customers.
In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will:
· Mentor and guide drafting personnel.
· Manage engineering projects from concept to completion.
· Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide solutions.
· Undertake mine site visits
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across design and production.
· Adhere to standards set by Leverlink.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
· Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, PDM & AutoCad)
· Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
· Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
· Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
