The successful candidate will lead our network architecture strategy and automation initiatives. Key responsibilities include designing scalable network solutions, implementing automation frameworks, developing data visualization tools, and driving predictive analytics to optimize network performance.Note: This is a hands-on technical role involving coding, device configuration, AI usage, and designing and implementing strategies.Responsibilities and Duties:Architect and design comprehensive network infrastructure strategies for WISP environmentsCreate and implement network standards, protocols, and best practicesDevelop automation frameworks to streamline network provisioning, management, and troubleshootingDesign and implement data pipelines for network telemetry and performance metricsCreate custom web dashboards and visualization tools for network monitoring and analysisIntegrate ML/AI technologies for predictive network analysis and optimizationLead API integration projects to connect disparate systems and enable data flowImplement advanced monitoring and alerting systems with automated remediationDesign network security architecture and implement security controlsMentor team members on network automation and programmabilityDocument network architecture, automation processes, and data flowsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science highly preferredMinimum of 5+ years of experience in network engineeringExtensive knowledge of WISP technologies including MikroTik and UbiquitiDemonstrated expertise in network automation using Python and related frameworks (e.g., Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, Ansible, Paramiko)Experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing protocols in service provider environmentsExperience with API development, integration, and managementKnowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Power BI)Familiarity with ML/AI concepts for network optimization (desired)Experience with container technologies and microservices architectureProven track record of successful network automation solutionsExcellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to stakeholdersSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyWilling to travel occasionally within AustraliaWhat We Offer:Full-time roleFully remote work (occasional travel within Australia for meetings or events)Competitive salary: $140,000 - $180,000 DoEValued contributions in a supportive work environmentStart Date: ImmediateApplication Note: This role is exclusive to Australian Citizens/PR/Full Work Rights holders in Australia.
