Job Description
As an Automotive Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition. This will involve:
* Verifying received parts for correctness and defects
* Disassembling vehicles according to Job Sheets
* Labeling and storing parts
* Identifying broken parts and extra repairs, submitting them to Estimators as requested
* Inspecting new parts for correctness and damage, notifying Parts Managers/Production Managers of defects
* Mixing and matching vehicle colors after preparation and scheduling for painting
* Building and maintaining color libraries
* Preparing, priming, and painting vehicles according to Job Sheet requirements, following paint supplier processes
* Buffing and denibbing vehicles
* Repairing vehicles according to Repair Methods, OEM standards, and Estimates/Jobs Sheets
* Reassembling vehicles
* Handling vehicles with care and attention
* Cleaning work areas and workshops
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent qualifications
* At least 4 years of relevant experience
* Excellent communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
* Reliability, punctuality, and a hardworking attitude
* Ownership of tools
