About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Welding Supervisor to support quality assurance and quality control activities across our Kwinana operations. This role will work closely with our workshop and projects teams to ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality standards, client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily QA/QC inspection activities across projects and workshop operations
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards
* Assist in implementing and maintaining quality management systems and procedures
* Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks on materials, fabrication, and site activities
* Support non-conformances and corrective actions
* Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and documentation
* Work closely with the quality team, project managers, supervisors, and site teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved
* Provide guidance and support to quality inspectors and operational teams
* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and quality process enhancements
* Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all operations
Skills and Experience
* Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ASME, AS3920, AS3992, AS1200, AS4041, AS1228 is essential
* Previous experience in a Quality Supervisor, QA/QC Inspector, or similar role
* Experience within mining, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments
* Strong understanding of quality management systems and inspection processes
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
* AS 1796 Certificate 10 – Welding Supervisor (Pressure Equipment) is essential
* AMPP Coatings Inspector – Level 2(NACE Coating Inspector Certification) is highly desirable
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police check
