The department comprises two operating theatres, a 6-bay day procedure unit, central sterile supply department, a 4-bay recovery room, and a renal dialysis suite. We cater to various medical needs, including general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, urology, dental, ear nose and throat, caesarean section, and emergency surgeries.
About This Role:
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning, packaging, and sterilizing reusable critical and semi-critical medical equipment within the central sterilizing and supply department. Your duties will include decontaminating and sterilizing surgical and general medical equipment, as well as decontaminating and high-level disinfecting flexible endoscopes.
Key responsibilities include maintaining equipment according to infection control guidelines and being able to work effectively in a small team environment. You will also be required to possess excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills.
Requirements:
* Recent experience as an Instrument technician or Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services
* Flexibility to adapt to job needs
* Excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to complete tasks within set time frames
