About the role
Pacific Fasteners & Hydraulics Pty Ltd are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Atherton, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will play a key role at the heart of the operations - delivering outstanding service to our customers and supporting the efficient, day-to-day operations of our busy service counter. Immediate start.
What you'll be doing
* Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service at our retail counter
* Assisting customers with purchases, product recommendations, and general queries
* Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the counter area is clean and well-organized
* Processing sales transactions, handling cash and Eftpos payments
* Supporting the team with administrative and operational tasks as needed
* Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and customer focused team culture
What we're looking for
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to delivering excellent service
* Good numerical ability and accuracy in handling cash and processing transactions
* Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
* A proactive mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
* Flexibility to work as part of a team and adapt to the changing needs of the business.
Extra Skills - Preferred but not Essential
* Proven experience in customer service and retail, including handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and converting quotes into sales
* Sound knowledge of seals, bearings, filters, fasteners, tools, fittings and workwear
* Experience in counter sales with proficiency in using point-of-sale and sales software preferred
