Garden and Maintenance Supervisor - FootscrayAbout the RoleYooralla is seeking a permanent Full-time Garden and Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance and Gardening team in Footscray.The Garden & Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for liaising with Yooralla Service Providers and external contractors.
This role is not hands-on but involves guiding and supporting garden and support workers.This position works directly with people with special needs, engaging in work-based learning, skills development, and building social relationships within the community.
The role requires providing leadership, on-the-job training, and support while managing a Commercial Social Enterprise.The ideal candidate must have a horticultural background and expertise in this field.About You:To be considered for this role, you must have:Qualifications in horticultureKnowledge of safe pesticide and herbicide applicationAbility to select and use suitable tools and methods, including electrical power tools and manual toolsExperience in managing and planning building and grounds maintenance with strong safety knowledgeMandatory requirements:Current National Police Record CheckInternational Police Check (if required)Working with Children Check (if required)NDIS Worker Screening CheckValid driver's license for AustraliaFirst Aid (HLTAID003) CertificateExperience in property maintenance and horticultureExperience using power tools and relevant equipmentPrevious garden maintenance or grounds work experienceAbout UsAt Yooralla, we believe that exceptional customer service starts with employees who love what they do.
