The role of Senior Pricing Analyst under the Commercial & Consumer Markets function is to provide Pricing and Analytical service to both Consumer and Commercial Insurance businesses. This position contributes to the Pricing & Analytics team's purpose of supporting the business to improve product profitability and the financial control of the insurance products. The team covers the pricing analytics work for both consumer and commercial line Insurance business.
What You'll Do
Work with Senior Pricing Advisor or Data Scientist to develop, recommend and implement pricing solutions to achieve financial and non-financial business objectives.
Apply the thorough understanding of the insurance data assets to extract and manipulate data for business analysis purpose.
Develop sophisticated processes and tools to help identify business opportunities in response to market conditions and performance against Budget and/or P&L. Interpret big data to identify and analyze emerging trends and produce appropriate reporting that monitors the performance of the portfolios and continually drives improvement in business results.
Identify, investigate, and introduce new data sources to reporting suites.
Promote innovation through improving current processes and automation.
Provide pricing and analytical advice to business customers. This requires a good relationship with the internal customer team, being receptive to ad-hoc queries and translating technical advice into business value-adding solutions.
Ensure compliance processes are followed.
Take responsibility for personal development plan and professional learning goals.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Actuarial, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics or Computer Science (mandatory).
Relevant postgraduate qualification (desired).
Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable).
Experience with general insurance analytical or pricing related field of work would be valued but isn't mandatory.
