Overview
Join to apply for the English / HASS Teacher - Ongoing role at Catholic Education Tasmania. This position is based at Marist Regional College, Burnie, Tasmania.
We are interested in applications from Teachers with experience in either Primary or Secondary English / HASS.
Responsibilities
* Teach English and HASS for the Term 4 period (Year 7–8 English and HASS [Global Connections] as well as Years 9–10 HASS).
* Contribute to the holistic education of students, aligned with Catholic Education principles.
* Engage with students to foster academic, personal and spiritual growth.
* Work with the College team to support student outcomes and wellbeing.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience teaching English and/or HASS at primary or secondary level.
* Current registrations relevant to child safety as required by Catholic Education Tasmania.
* Ability to commence in Term 4 (Monday 13 October 2025) or at the start of the 2026 school year.
* LAT applicants may be considered for a 0.6 FTE position, per LAT requirements.
* The 2026 load can be negotiated based on the candidate's skills and competencies.
* Ongoing position, 0.6 – Full Time FTE (negotiable for the successful candidate).
Location and salary
Burnie, Tasmania, Australia
Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024: A$86,155.00 – A$119,210.00.
