Southern NSWLHD covers a large area from Goulburn and Crookwell to the Victorian border, surrounding the ACT on three sides, spanning 44,537 sq km. It includes beaches, farmlands, mountains, and is home to four Aboriginal nations: Gundungurra, Ngunnawal, Ngarigo, and Yuin.
The district comprises two networks: Inlands (Goulburn, Monaro, Queanbeyan, Cooma), Coastal (Bega, Batemans Bay, Moruya), and the Integrated Care Network. It has 18 facilities serving over 200,000 people, with staff being a vital part of the community.

Essential Criteria
* MBBS or equivalent, registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
* Fellowship of a recognized Australasian Specialist College or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia; or at least 10 years of general practice with General Registration and in a training pathway
* NSW Working with Children's Check
* National Police Check
* Compliance with NSW Health OASV Policy
* Class C Driver's License and ability to travel up to 5 hours daily
Your Opportunity
* Provide clinical leadership to colleagues, patients, and stakeholders
* Deliver high-quality, person-centered end-of-life care to VAD patients and support families and carers
* Fulfill roles as Coordinating, Consulting, and/or Administering Practitioner for VAD requests
* Collaborate with colleagues across SNSWLHD, including managers, medical, nursing, and allied health staff
* Work with primary and private healthcare providers
* Comply with NSW VAD legislation, policies, guidelines, and training requirements
* Travel within SNSWLHD to provide VAD services and support various healthcare settings
Selection Criteria
* For Coordinating/Consulting roles: registered as a Specialist or 10+ years of practice with General Registration
* For Administering roles: registered as a specialist or 5+ years of practice with General Registration, or overseas trained specialist with provisional or limited registration
* Demonstrate behaviors aligned with NSW Health values: Collaboration, Openness, Respect, Empowerment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills relevant to VAD services
* Knowledge of clinical quality, patient safety, NSW Health policies, and clinical guidelines
* Understanding of the NSW VAD Act 2022
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
* Completion or willingness to complete VAD Authorised Practitioner training; willingness to travel within SNSWLHD
Additional Requirements
This is a Category ‘A’ position. All employees must comply with NSW Health OASV policy, including proof of influenza vaccination and other requirements for working in aged care facilities.
