Overview
Senior Advisor, Ministerial and Parliamentary Services — NSW Department of Customer Service. The role supports Ministerial, Executive and Parliamentary Services and the coordination of Ministerial and Parliamentary requests, with involvement in SafeWork NSW matters.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Ministerial, Parliamentary, Executive and other ad hoc requests across a range of complex issues in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Draft Ministerial correspondence, briefings and advice, and prepare and review briefings to Senior Executives.
- Support preparation for Parliamentary sitting weeks, Budget Estimates and public hearings, and respond to orders for papers and other requests arising from the Parliamentary process.
- Lead development of procedures and guidance documentation and provide support and advice to colleagues and the broader business.

- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust strategic thinking, aligning advice with broader organisational objectives while monitoring emerging issues and priorities.
- Ability to foster productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilient, organised and self-motivated, able to manage competing priorities.
- Fast and independent learner, capable of researching and analysing new and complex subject matter, and providing timely, accurate advice.
- Demonstrated integrity and accountability.
- An understanding of the NSW work health and safety regulatory framework is highly desirable.
What we offer / Salary and terms
- Base pay range: A$129,464.00 per year to A$142,665.00 per year, plus superannuation and leave loading.
- Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10.
- Duration: Ongoing.
- Location: Gosford or Parramatta.
