PS Business Development Manager ANZ - Displays and Accessories
The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving category growth by acting as an external advocate and strategic partner. This role focuses on building strong relationships with sales teams, channel partners, and customers to promote category solutions, influence market positioning, and accelerate business outcomes. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to deliver measurable growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
External Advocacy & Partner Engagement: Serve as the primary external ambassador for the category, fostering strong relationships with partners, resellers, and customers both in commercial as well as retail, to drive adoption and loyalty.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and execute initiatives that expand market share and revenue.
Sales Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to align category objectives with customer needs, ensuring seamless execution of joint business plans.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to defining category strategies and business plans that support long-term growth and profitability.
Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform strategy and identify areas for differentiation.
Performance Management: Monitor KPIs and sales performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve results.
Thought Leadership: Represent the category at industry events, partner forums, and customer engagements to strengthen brand presence and influence.
Category Knowledge: Demonstrates a deep understanding of product categories, business management, and sales challenges and strategies.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure integrated execution of category initiatives.
Vendor Partnerships: Lead strategic engagements with external IT vendors to enhance offerings and deliver value to customers.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in category management, partner sales and/or end-user sales, or a related field, P&L management.
