We're hiring a Defence Strategy & Capability Consultant to support senior coordination functions for autonomous systems and emerging capabilities across Defence. You'll coordinate and align capability development efforts across Groups, Services, and international partners, provide specialist advice to senior Defence leadership on autonomous systems, foster communities of practice and coordinate stakeholder engagement, support policy development and industry engagement activities, plan and execute exercises, working groups, and experimentation activities, and prepare briefs and committee papers for senior leadership. This role sits within a high‑paced Defence environment working alongside ADF and APS colleagues across multiple operating domains, with work spanning governance, policy, industry engagement, and capability integration. What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience in Defence capability development within the One Defence Capability System Knowledge of autonomous systems, UAS/UXS, or C2 integration for uncrewed platforms Proven ability to produce and present strategic briefs and committee papers to 1‑Star and 2‑Star level Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and coordinate across Defence Groups and Services Understanding of C4ISR design processes and standards as applied to autonomous systems desirable Strong operational and capability background with ability to work independently Essential requirements
