We are seeking a motivated Cadet / Junior Construction Professional to join a growing team delivering government and public sector projects across the Newcastle region. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while receiving structured training and mentorship from experienced industry professionals.
About the Role
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers, you will be exposed to the full lifecycle of construction projects, including:
* Assisting with project coordination and site activities
* Supporting project planning, scheduling, and reporting
* Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
* Monitoring site progress, safety, and quality standards
* Assisting with procurement and contract administration
* Learning cost control and budgeting fundamentals
This role offers clear progression into Project Management, Contract Administration, or Site Management.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, reliable, and looking to build a long-term career in construction.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience in construction (site or office-based)
* Relevant qualification (or currently studying) in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar (preferred)
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work both on-site and in an office environment
* Full working rights in Australia
