Role Overview
As the Senior Account Executive, you will be primarily responsible for acquiring new logos, achieving sales targets in the Pacific region, and implementing sales strategies established by management.
You will drive the sales cycle from initial contact to signing of the deal, maintain strong client relationships, and participate in market analysis and relationship building with senior management and key opinion leaders in banking and financial services.
Responsibilities
* Achieve new logo sales targets established by the Sales Director of the region, preparing and executing a territory sales plan in accordance with Temenos strategy.
* Start and manage the full new logo sales cycle, coordinating pre‐sales and other specialist resources as needed, and work with the lead pre‐sales resource to ensure professional engagement with prospects to fully understand their requirements and deliver quality proposals that emphasize Temenos strengths.
* Negotiate or assist in negotiating terms and conditions of the sales and service agreements, depending on deal size.
* Establish relationships with primary alliance partners and identify new markets and growth opportunities to build a strong sales pipeline.
* Provide leadership in client relationship management, addressing clients' business needs and constraints.
* Assist in market research and build prospect client profiles regarding their current systems, potential future software investments and strategies, and key decision makers.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of proven track record in new sales and achievement of sales targets in the banking and financial sectors, with substantial domain experience.
* Experience dealing with people at all levels within an organization, with strong negotiation skills with key decision makers.
* Ability to navigate long and complex sales cycles across banks and financial institutions, building new relationships and mapping organizational structures to progress sales opportunities.
* Good understanding of banking operations and relevant processes (front, middle, back office), thorough understanding of IT processes and implementations.
* University education in relevant business disciplines, preferably with a post‐graduate degree.
* Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; international exposure and ability to be deployed across the territory.
* Experience with sales planning & forecasting tools such as Salesforce, Clari, etc. is appreciated.
* Ability to spot opportunities and diligently manage customer engagements from inception to close.
