About the Role
This is a senior leadership position based at the Ringwood office. You will lead a team of junior solicitors and support staff, manage complex criminal caseloads, and appear as a solicitor advocate across Victorian courts. You will report directly to the principals and have real autonomy to drive performance, build client relationships, and shape the direction of the Ringwood practice.
Duties
* Lead and mentor junior solicitors and administrative staff
* Appear as solicitor advocate in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria
* Prepare indictable briefs for County Court and Supreme Court matters
* Conduct client consultations, bail applications, pleas and contest mentions
* Drive office performance, manage workflow and meet billing targets
Skills & Experience
* Admitted to practice in Victoria with a current practising certificate
* 5+ years post-admission experience in criminal law
* Proven advocacy skills across Magistrates' Court matters
* Demonstrated leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience
* Current driver's licence (court travel required)
